The Cricket MEAC/SWAC Challenge has always been “More Than Just A Game,” and there is no better example than the high school seminar. Launched in 2008, the high school seminar has positively impacted over 5000 students across the southeast, from Florida to Louisiana and most recently, Georgia. Each year, the event features a panel discussion that focuses on career opportunities in sports, but in a way that most high school students haven’t considered yet – off the field. In recent years, the event has added a life skills component, as sponsors have offered their take on topics like personal branding and entrepreneurship. ESPN SportsCenter anchor Jay Harris is a longtime supporter of the high school seminar, having hosted each and every year.
